APRA starts the implementation of the project «National youth aspirations survey»

APRA starts implementation of the « National youth aspirations survey» in cooperation with R-insights research and consulting LLC. The survey is funded by United Nations Development Program and aims to the identification of youth aspirations, including their values, aims, goals, as well as the ambitions in political, social and cultural life of the country, validated through a public debates. To cover the research objectives and to test hypothesys quantitative face-to-face interviews with 16-30 age group representatives, focus group (FG) discussions with 16-30 age group representatives, expert interviews with independent experts, stakeholders (policy makers and implementers, monitoring implementers etc.) methods and tools will be applied. The second part of the project is devoted to popularization of the survey results and developed recommendations by large involvement of mass media as well as experts of youth issues, national stakeholders, NGOs, international organizations, active youths and etc. For this public debates will be organized in Yerevan and several regions of Armenia. Duration of the project are 3 months.

APRA wins the tender for shooting a documentary about the results of judicial reforms in Armenia

APRA has won the tender for shooting and airing a documentary about the results of the Activities of The Judicial Reform Project Implementation Unit in Armenia, as well as the tender for preparation and broadcasting of PSAs about www.arlis.am and www.datalex.am public information websites created in the framework of the Second Project of the Judicial Reforms. The goal of the documentary is elucidation of the history of PIU, implemented activities and their results, as well as current situation. The film will contain documentary materials about implemented projects, archived materials, public discussions and experts' opinions.
3 PSAs about www.arlis.am and www.datalex.am will be shot and aired, in which services provided by the websites will be produced and their suitableness for public will be accented.

Apra starts implementation of the TV program "Crime and Punishment"

Armenian Public Relations Association has won the tender of «Production and Airing of TV Programs» announced by the General Prosecutor's office of Armenia and from 20th of June has started implementation of those works. TV programs are aimed to raise public sense of law and order. Programs will increase awareness of different groups of public about their rights and responsibilities during judicial processes, as well as their level of awareness about their defence mechanisms. Name of the program is «Crime and Punishment». Till the end of the year 16 TV programs will be shot and aired by «Yerkir Media» TV, each of which will be devoted to a particular case (already revealed or in progress), will have its main character/s and experts, as well as other people who deal directly with the case.

UNICEF Goodwill Ambasador Maestro Vengerov Announces Start of the "Everi Child Needs a Family

Worlds renowned violinist and conductor, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Maxim Vengerov announced the start of the PR campaign "Every Child Needs a Family" during the master class that maestro gave for young artists of the UNICEF Children's Chamber Orchestra, while ob tour in Armenia.
"The best place for each child is family", told the musician and added that in Armenia approximately 5 thousand children lives in orphanages and other state institutions for child care because of social and economical problems of their parents. "The goal of the campaign is to return those children to their families" told Vengerov during the press conference.

"Every Child Needs a Family" PR Campaign

From the January 2011 APRA starts implementation of PR campaign of the project “Every Child Needs a Family” conducted by UNICEF. The goal of the project is orientation of public opinion towards the adaptation of basic ideas of the reform of social protection of children. The main objective of the project is to support the Government of Armenia in implementation of child protection reforms and, particularly, its de-institutionalization strategy, by raising public awareness about different aspects of the reform and by popularization and promotion of the messages that “A child has a right to have a family” and “A child should be brought up in a family”.
During the campaign a round table-discussions with participation of the representatives of UNICEF and State Agencies, experts of the field, famous political, cultural actors will be organized; TV commercials and documentaries will be created; concerts with participation of Children’s Chamber Orchestra of UNICEF will be organized; experts involved in the project will participate in on-line forums, TV interviews and talk-shows; in one of the most popular radios a series of reportages will be broadcast and etc.
The project will be implemented in close cooperation with mass media representatives.
Duration of the project is 1 year.

World Forum “Communication on Top”

The Forum is to be held on February 17-18th in Davos, Switzerland. Over 25 speakers from 3 continents & no less than 20 countries will take part in discussions and present cases of the world's largest companies.
The Forum program presents 4 sections: Social Media, Political, Financial, and Crisis Comms. Each one offers key presentations with the most recent trends in the relevant area.
Kerry Bridge (DELL) will share experience in integrating social media into existing PR campaigns and Bonin Bough (PepsiCo) will present a case study with a similar topic. Nic Labuschagne (the Government of Dubai) will share views on using strategic communications as a counterterrorism tool. James Gillies (CERN) will speak about innovations and the successful promotion of something that does not even exist, while Daniel Höltgen (the Council of Europe) will teach us how to adapt large, long-standing organizations to today's online & social media world. This is but a small part of the intensive 2-day program of «Communication on Top» - 2011!

Project "Channel Corruption Away" starts

Date: 04.10.09

From the 1st of October the project “Channel Corruption Away” which APRA implements with the support of USAID Mobilizing Action against Corruption (MAAC) Activity starts. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of society, Media and business about mechanisms of citizen rights protection when they strive with corruption through media campaign consisting of spreading success stories of combating corruption in the courts and by initiation of public discourse. In the framework of the project journalists from 20 media organizations will attend trials connected with cases of corruption and prepare materials about those cases. Besides each month briefings will be organized with participation of journalists, legal experts and judges, a one month program “Guest in the Studio” will be broadcast and in two information websites (www.panorama.am and www.aysor.am) special sections will be created, where the journalists can publish their materials (also videos) related to the corruption and ways of combating it, success stories in fighting corruption in the courts as well as videos of the most noteworthy parts of the trail sessions, both during the project and after that. Duration of the project is 6 months.

APRA wins in the "NGO Marketplace"

On April 22 APRA participated in the “NGO Marketplace” organized in the frameworks of the USAID Mobilizing Action against Corruption (MAAC) Activity implemented by Casals & Associates, Inc. in “Marriott” hotel.
About 30 pre-qualified applicants presented their project-proposals aimed at fighting against corruption to the public and the Panel of Judges. Moving from one booth to another visitors of the “NGO Marketplace” familiarized with the project-proposals and voted for those which they liked most of all.
As a result of the voting of public and the Panel of Judges 8 winner organizations were announced. Their project-proposals will get funding from USAID.
APRA with its project “Channel Corruption Away” was among the winners and earned high appreciation from the Panel of Judges and public as well.
The ambassador of USA in Armenia Mari Yovanovich expressed her thanks to the participants and gave certificates to the winners.
